Matryx RMK

I am really hoping to snow check a 2022 850 Khaos Maytryx 165' with new gauge. looks to be a beauty sled

I believe I saw Dan Adam’s post he had taken delivery of a 146 Matryx. Can’t imagine it would remain a short track?

I guess I was under the impression that the Matryx was more of a body rework for trail riding and the chassis wasn't much different than the Axys. Is there much benefit to a trail body for mountain riding?

Pretty much apples and oranges: the things that make for good trail riding make a sled worse off-trail, and vice versa. The Matryx running boards and steering post are biased toward sit-down riding – never mind the wider ski stance – so shoving a long track under it wouldn't make sense except for riding in gentle terrain combined with deep snow. Supposedly, the Matryx has more carbon fiber for less weight, but I can't see much difference comparing it to the outgoing AXYS trail sleds. We'll see what they have up their sleeve, but I'm not seeing much in the Matryx sleds that will be a big deal in the mountains. The bodywork, new headlight, and multi-function display should appear for '22, but the new tracks and QD2 for this season are a lot bigger deal.

Polaris is releasing a 4 stroke so maybe they are trying to get the chassis ready to fit it? 925 cc is the rumor. They are listing some parts available for it already to be available in March 2021. e.g. 4 stroke block heater.

What is the front end width. I want to build it as a 146 switchback assault but put a 36" front end on it. Mabye a skinz.
