Anyone have the manta green powder coat code or would any shops that have it be willing to coat a couple things for me?

I am currently having parts done with the prismatic color Sublime......will let you know next week how it turns out. It is very close holding a color swatch up to the manta green on the sled but we shall see.....I will report back when I get my parts back.

I will be interested to see also, they did a poopy job on my tunnel, it was bubbled around the rear skid bolt and came off when I pulled it. :(

Hey how did the Sublime turn out? Was it a good match? I'm trying to find a powder coat match to manta green as well.

Supposed to get my parts back tomorrow or Wednesday.......I promise to post pics and how it turned out once they are back in my hands. Trust me......I want them back more than anyone! Lol........hang tight you will know how well it turned out not too long after I do.....

Got My Parts Back Finally!!! LOL

Okay.......I got my parts back and the Prismatic Sublime is a very close color........very close. See the attached picture........it is not quite as neon as the freeride manta green handle bars I have but it is close. These spindles were done with Sublime with a clear over-coat to make them gloss up and look closer to the bars. You be the judge........also my powder coater said that Prismatic is working to come up with a true Ski-doo Manta Green. Sorry for taking so long to get back to everyone but just got the parts back today.....time to start putting stuff back together!!

Hey diamond8, do you know if your powder coater put a base coat down under the Sublime? I wonder if a silver or white underneath would brighten it up just enough to make it match perfect?

He did not.........and when I asked about it he thought it would darken it up as the sublime is a "solid" color and not "translucent" so essentially it covers up whatever it is shot over with the substrate having some effect on color but not a lot.

You know maybe get a hold of racewerx.......I have their bumpers and they are spot on a dead match on the color. I know that they send out for powder coating but maybe Doug from Racewerx could get you the Powder code or put you in the right direction..........maybe he would give up the name of his powder coater and you could talk to them? That is what I know......I would have thought using an undercoat would help as well but my powder coater ( who was factory trained by Prismatic ) didn't think it would change it enough to warrant buying the extra powder. Good luck tracking stuff down...and get on it winter is about here!!!!

Dave

Did anyone ever find a solution to this then? I'm in the same boat, waiting on my skinz/Rasmussen bumper to show but need my local coater to do it as I didn't want to wait 6 weeks from skinz. Thanks!

Give B&M Fab a call, they've got great products and can get them in manta green.

I ended up calling Racewerx and they will either do the powder coating for you or sell you the powder. It sounded like they had a lot of work invested in getting the perfect match.

Unfortunatley I got nervous/impatient waiting for the call back from Racewerx (they were out for the Thanksgiving holiday break) so I just went with the Sublime instead. My sleds been tore apart for a month, time to get this thing back together! They are supposed to be ready for pick up tonight.

Post Pictures when you get it all put back together!! I think you will be happy........it is so very, very close.......yes it is not perfect but most people at a glance never catch it.
