LTS 2021 Snow Conditions

Happy new year everyone. Looks like they’re a little off on this one . We only received about 6 inches of wet heavy snow yesterday here at the house. I was sure hoping for more. Hopefully a lot more up top. Suns out today.

Definitely firmed up out there today. Downright icy in some places. We found some great snow in the trees on the north facing slope. Still breaking in my new ride but I need some good pow soon. The groomer just went by. All the roads out here are groomed right now. Good to see.

Spooner Snowmobile Conditions? Anyone have any scouting of the conditions up on Spooner? Was going to explore this weekend. Tours don't start up there until February. Thanks in advance.

Seriously doubt if there is enough to even get in a road ride, based on what's at Blue Lakes and Ebbetts Pass. If you do check it out, post some news.

Was up 88 yesterday and carefully rode the minimal snow pack at Iron Mountain. It sleeted on us quite a bit so I’m wondering if LTS got any snow yesterday to soften things up? Considering making a trip that way tomorrow.

No new snow up here. We found some good snow in the trees up high on sat. We need snow soon.

Decided to make a long day trip to Shasta yesterday in search of some powder. 11 total hours of driving, but we found what we were looking for with upwards of 2 feet of soft fresh stuff! Scratched the itch, now back to snow dancing for local weather.

Yeah, base is going to disappear. Even up North all the way into Washington it’s wet, but rain up to 8500 feet. Supposedly the local weather is supposed to become cold and wet around the 25th so we all need to wash our trucks right before then to make sure it holds true!

Nice! I thought about riding there, but didn’t feel I knew enough about what was inbounds and out of bounds in the old ski bowl being this was my first time riding in the Shasta area. Settled for Pilgrim Creek and there was very little snow at the staging area, but a bunch up high. Didn’t see a single other person the whole day and nobody had been on the groomed trails yet either. Might try Bunny Flats next time after I research it a little more though...looks awesome.
