Looking for info on 18 skid and track on 14 m8000, 18 is a 162 14 is the 153

Yes, but pull your rear shock off and cycle the skid fully to make sure the track can't grab your tunnel. Make sure you not only push the rear of the skid up, but also pull back in case it has the ability to "swing" around the front arm mount.

Nice, I am concerned about the drop and roll chain case on the 18 as the 14 is not! Will it stab!

Copy, I did the alpha on the 18 and the old skid and track are just sitting around thought this could be fun for the wife to play with and get used to the traction!

Not sure about rail/driver clearance?
I have a 14 (with 3in claw) sitting next to my alpha but it has iceage rails.

The 2018 rails should be farther away from your drivers than the 2014 skid. The drop/roll puts them closer to the rails and Cat had to shorten them slightly to clear.
