Close to the only thing he has going for him in my book. I find it disturbing how those on the "right" overlook his own completely immoral behavior & hang their decisions on this one issue. Its an important issue, and I even understand that it may be argued that it is possibly the most important issue. But to keep Trump in office strictly because he's Pro-life (which he hasn't always been - There are arguments as to why he changed on both sides as well - to gain the pro life vote, or because its the right thing. Make your own judgement there) overlooks an awful lot of what makes him, in my opinion, unfit to be the leader of our nation. There are a LOT of other people who are Pro-Life who aren't Pro-Torture for example.

Also, the reason I hope a republican runs against Trump for the Primary isn't because Trump is pro-choice (I know he's not at this point), but rather because I doubt his ability to win against pretty much whoever the Democratic nominee will be. He beat Hillary Clinton, in my opinon, in large part because the left underestimated how much the right HATED Hillary Clinton. The amount of people I know who voted for Trump, not because they wanted Trump, but because they did NOT want Clinton is more than enough to sway my mind that way. If you don't think in 2020 the "left" (not to mention much of the center) will turn out to vote for anyone but Trump, for much the same reason, you're deluding yourself. Republican politicians who continue to hang their hat with Trump will pay a price.

I think the hate for Trump is WAY overblown by the media for obvious reasons, they hate him because he makes their lives miserable. The STRONG economy is going to keep centrists voting for Trump because making a decent living trumps the complaints against the man for the vast majority. People do vote based on their pocketbook. Dems vote to have the govt fill it for them. The rest of us prefer to have the opportunity to make it for ourselves, which is the gift Trump offers.

I think you are delusional if you think the clearly socialist message the dems are going to bring stands a chance in hell of beating a roaring Trump economy.

Sadly, when voting without ID is permitted, you can't rule out anything.

Yes religious bull crap,I’m a nonbeliever.
That’s a old book wrote by people that needed a crutch to make it through life.
I’m into reality and the fact that once your dead you are gone not in heaven.
As for morals I once again don’t need the 2000 year old book.
I know what’s right and what’s wrong and that’s the way I love my life.
Sorry but you’ll never get me on board.
I buried my baby girl daughter of 30 years old last month and saw her lifeless body.
She is gone and that’s it gone.
All I have now is the plot that I put her in.

Other than the part about losing your daughter, I love this type of response because its so easy for you to do a 180. All it takes is for you to have a undeniable supernatural religious experience. So many guys formulate super strong opinions about God and the bible and really have no clue. But then again it is not very common for God to decide someone who rejects him is worth experiencing something supernatural. I have experienced enough in my life to know there is more, then I read the Bible, the Koran and the Book of Mormon, just to get different views. Now I am in a little better position to accept or knock a religion. I am not pushing anything here other than saying it's worth investigating on your own rather than adopting someone else's ideas.

You must have missed the part where I posted that I hope someone challenges trump for the republican nomination.

Both parties pander far too much to their extremes right now and its sick.

I don't WANT a socialist government, but the fact is its already what we've got. The issues raised by those opposed to the adoption of the constitution in 1787-88 are playing out in real time. Maybe what we need is a new constitutional convention. Or De-centralizing government. I don't claim to have the answer. But to me, Trump is certainly not it.

Including Civil WAR???? Absolutely RIDICULOUS!!

There are MUCH better ways to handle things
We shall see.

Keeping your head in the sand seems to be a popular stance for you whether it be blown up sled motors or politics...

Anybody can take a positive thing and turn it ugly and for their own purposes. You can throw the baby out with the bathwater if you want too but you are definitely losing something valuable when you do.

Why should you let the failures of others be the chains in your life? Are you not better than them?

Looking at it from the opposite side, guns kill, does that mean if I put a gun in your hands you would kill too?

These are big questions and not everybody is ready to answer them.

It was turned ugly by the zealots and true believers, for and against , not by me. And no , i’m Not better than them , I just choose not to follow an ideology , whichever one you pick, that can justify any atrocity as long as it is done in the best interest of the church/ mosque , whatever.
And a gun is a tool, hardly a comparison to a religion .

Didn't miss it but completely disagree again... Having this businessman in charge has done great things for our economy. At my age, this will be the last boom time I get to ride. I think Trump is uniquely qualified to bring great prosperity to the land. Getting another republican robot would be an epic mistake. Unless I can have Rand Paul, there isn't a single republican I can think of that is up to the task of trying to right the ship. We were NEVER supposed to have career politicians. You are advocating we do just that. Career politicians are the biggest threat we have to our liberty. I ask you to PLEASE refrain from further empowering that failed program...

Honestly I do not see much of anything that is too far right for me. Trying to legislate morality bothers me but other than that, I want to take her HARD right.

Reducing the size and scope of the overbearing centralized govt would be huge. We could easily do with half and a commensurate tax bill reduction. I like Trump for 8 years because that will solidify the great economic ideas he has implemented and we will prosper for a decade. With economic strength and wealth we can again afford to take on the bleeding heart libs programs.

that is something they always seem to miss. If we promote rampant capitalism we can easily afford the social programs. The desire to stifle productivity in favor of false safety's is exactly why we can't afford the freebies people!

I actually agree with most of what you say here except for trump. I'd love Rand Paul as president.

As far as Trump goes, This quote from the Anti-federalist papers struck me as complete damnation of his behavior:
From Antifederalist #9
"And no man who believes his conduct proper and the result of honest views will be less useful in his public character on account of the examination his actions may be liable to, and a man conscious of the contrary conduct ought to clearly be restrained by the apprehensions of a trial"
The context here is talking about the impeachment process & how anyone who aspires to the office of president, or senator, or judge should not be surprised at the scrutiny they are subject to.

To be clear, I think the democrats are wasting their time & taxpayer's money continuing to investigate Trump. But not being willing to sit down with them is just another Trumper Tantrum. They're using the exact same tactics on him that he is using on North Korea, China, and Iran. Insult them, point out their flaws, and then expect them to come to a negotiating table. Trumps in the top job. He should be able to stand the heat.

And, I also don't really want more Republican Robots or their democratic equivalent. I want the parties thrown out in whole. One of the main problems the Anti-federalists had with the constitution was the lack of term limits. They also wanted YEARLY elections to be held for all offices. The things they warned about are playing out in real time & the parties as they exist today, including the Donald Trumps, Orrin Hatch's, Nancy Pelosi's & Chuck Schumers are all evidence of it. I don't agree with all of their assertions in the AF Papers, but its hard to argue against some of it when you see the political aristocracy that exists in our country today.

I agree!
Wisdom from some rarely, if ever, comes along, but when it does, it's like finding a penny in a landfill :)

I still can not understand where your hate for DJT comes from? Sure he has some crude moments in his past (and present), but how does that really affect you? If I was a self made billionaire I would probably act much worse :eyebrows: :face-icon-small-hap The results of his tenure speak for themselves, if you actually step back and think logically, the attacks on him are completely insane. You clearly haven't learned that the MSM is simply a propaganda arm for the dems and the deep state. Trump's presidency is part of the most elaborate military operation of all time to remove corruption from our country, and the world.

I suppose if you get right down to it, He's not someone I would choose to associate with, nor is he someone I would want anyone in my family to associate with. I also would trust him no further than I could throw him, but I wouldn't want to be close enough to him to even shake his hand. And I feel the same way about the Clintons for that matter. The fact that that was the choice in 2016 speaks volumes to the crisis that is our country right now. The fact that he has so many people heaping adulation on him & hanging on his every word I find sick, and the fact that those people don't care what comes out of his mouth no matter how offensive. Civility does not equal Political Correctness.
