i was checking with my dealer about arrival date for my snocheck, and he didn't even have a build date for it and build dates went out to late november....he called me back two days later and my sled had already arrived at dealership.....seems that once the sleds are shipped, the build dates drop out of the system with the sled already on the truck in route...

I've heard lately that finding drivers for shipping companies has been tough. So might get into a situation more this year where there are sleds built, sitting in Cats yard, and they are waiting for shipment.

I’ve heard delays are due to supplier issues and labor shortages in manufacturing

I talked to Dave at Country Cat at Hay Days and he mentioned AC reached out and cancelled close to 200 of his planned orders. He had to make some difficult phone calls to customers letting them know they are not getting their sleds this year. I think the other brands are going to experience the same. Get your hands on what you can now before inventory shortages go up along with prices due to demand.

Was it 200 dealer inventory orders? or 200 Snowchecks?

I'd be surprised if it were snow checks as well. I ordered my Alpha the last day of snow check. Showing a 12/1 arrival date as of yesterday. Cat tried to screw my dealer over and said if they snowchecked sleds themselves this year they would not be discounted, and they wouldn't get them until February. What dealer would ever snowcheck sleds themselves this year if they can't get them until Feb and have to sell them at msrp and make no money. In Feb customers are looking for discounts. And new 23 models get shown in early March with early spring releases showing up not long after. Seems like Cat just shooting themselves in their own foot.

Cat has stated that every spring order sled will be built. There may not be as many sleds to go to dealer inventory is all that has changed.

I heard that manufactures are looking at checks, making sure that they are legit. It does make sense. It would be messed up for a legit customer to not get his sled because a dealership faked some checks for resale.
