I got a 2002 kx 500 and a 14 st that I am putting together now for winter and am wondering about the forks. I don't wanna spend a lot on the forks because I don't know if this bike or the frame will be long term. So was wondering if I need new spring or if I could make some spacers for the stock one and use heavier oil. If so what size spacers to make and out of what material?

Also wait oil ratio are you guys running and what kind of oil?
And what kind of tranny oil and how often you change that? There is all this cheap Rotella oil talk but is that just for 4 strokes?

Got carb heat, tunnel cooler, making a pod style intake. Planning to do some sort of shroud. Mainly just curious about fork stuff now as the budget is getting eaten up
