Khaos Conversion Kit Question

Hey I just put my Raptor conversion kit onto my 19 Pro Rmk 850 tonight. I went with the Eyelet, Longer limiter strap and Rail tip Anti stab kit. I was wondering if anyone had alot of trouble getting the skid back in once you had the conversion kit installed.. It went into the track without an issue but lining up the skid bolts was ridiculous. Also wondering if I have my limiter strap in the right position for the Khaos setting?

The limiter strap is TIGHT! With the sled tipped over you can only get a bit of slack in between the anti stab and front of the track.

Thanks

I didn’t have that experience. I have the same setup and it went in easily. I did do Ice Age Khaos rails though. Your strap looks the same as mine. And I know mine is correct. The limiter strap is always very tight in my experiences

Alright thanks alot for the reply. Appreciate it. I had to have a ratchet on the skid to collapse it a bit and get it into position so I could get the other bolts in. It was very tight with stock rails. The tension between the anti stab and the front track seems like it's almost to much to. I've never ran an anti stab kit though so it might be normal. I just don't want to have it way to tight and cause additional wear over an easy mistake.

Every skid I have taken in and out has required a rachet strap to line everything up beleive that is normal. The only way I know to check if the limiter strap is to tight would be to see if your shock has a lot of stroke past where the limiter strap is letting it go.

Makes sense with you putting it that way. I'll have to take another look at it here. If it wasn't -37C this morning I'd be looking right now.

My anti stab does not touch the track when the sled is just sitting on the garage floor. However def touches at times when riding.

I use some pretty handy stands take my skids in and out. They were worth every penny and make getting the skid in a lot easier.

X2 on rachet strap to collapse the skid. Every Poo and Doo I've had, and pulled dozens of skids.

Just for reference Dan adams nxt lvl has a good video of suspension removal on youtube using the ratchet strap and you don't have to loosen idlers or anything which has been the way I always do it also.

Yup you bet that's where I seen the ratchet straps idea from so I wouldn't be screwing around but there is something wrong with my setup I went 2 miles to just test it out and my rail tip Anti stab wheels are NFG now. I'm waiting to hear back from Raptor Shocks to see what they're going to do. Glad I only went 2 miles and wasn't on a day ride with some buddies testing it out or I would've likely ran it longer & wrecked my track.

why are the wheels NFG? Skid will also go in easier if you loosen off the track.
I'd post pictures but Im waiting to hear back from the owner of Raptor I guess. I don't want to try to throw them under the bus for what might be my mistake. They are Very badly worn in a 2 mile span of me riding it. To the point I'm likely going back to stock unless I get new ones sent out.

were they hitting the drive shaft? Just curious i put them on mine also but modified them to mount to the limiter cross shaft and cut the rail tips. I put on 20 miles the other day at home with no issues as far as i know i will have a look at them later today. thanks

No there is no wear at all on my drive to show that they're been touching.

Well I never heard back from Raptor over the last few days with any help besides "don't run the sled any further" here is what the wheels looked like after 2 miles. Needless to say she's back to stock
