a guy at the shop said it will cost me about $500 or $600 to replace it plus labor. I dont think the stator is too much money, or how long it will take. have anyone done it before? looking any way to save my $$$$$. a new one worth about 200 or less? any help or information would be good.

its not hard to replace give me a call if you want 715-305-7177 . you will neeed a puller for the fly wheel i use a three bolt puller . outher than that normal hand tools will get it done.

thanks! think it will help.. but my sled is polaris.. are they all same?

All 2 strokes are very similar. My videos will get you 95% or more of the info you need to do it yourself although on some models you can change the timing through a slotted Flywheel so make sure you mark where everything is located when you take it apart.

There are a couple on E-Bay that can rebuild your stator for yah. Just remember when installing stator, to line up the triangle marks on stator plate and on water pump housing cover, as this is your timing.
