Over the last season I had several occassions to LOSE SIGNAL on my drone in the mountains.
So I went in search of signal boosters.
Came across this.

Interesting, I have never had that issue before on my Mavic and have maybe 500 hours of flight time on it. Any idea on why you are dropping signal? Pushing the limits of distance from the controller or line of sight issues?

I know EXACTLY whats causing it.
Being in the BOTTOM of a Deep Ravine and trying to fly up and over the canyon walls.

That makes sense. I was always launching mine from the high point so I never thought about interference from going that way.

I've actually been looking at the DJI Flip for my next drone. Would like something smaller to pack and easier to deploy. You take a hit on the camera quality, but the price also looks much better.

Ya, if I was using the drone as part of my "Riding", sending it over the cliff or down in the ravine to SCOUT ahead, I would absolutely go for the SMALLEST LIGHTEST I could get my hands on. The little FLIP is super compact and would do the job nicely!.

But I am trying hard to get to the point where I can catch 1 minute of STUNNING 6K HDR video that takes your breath away.

I think the best shot of last year was this opening.
And even with this the YouTube Compression makes the video "Twitchy"...
