Wouldn’t moving the ski that far forward make a sled that already feels heavy on the skis and is harder to steer even harder and heavier feeling on the front end?

Mine feels lighter in the front. Front of the skid moving down counters weight transfer forward. Wouldn’t wanna go 5” though.

These billet spindles are bloody tough. I’ve hammered a tree and a stump with zero damage. In the past, I bent 2 stock spindles.

Stock Alpha. As u can see, my track doesn't touch the ground from the center of the rail back(80psi front track shock). My last paddle is .75" from the ground.

Alpha Steering is much harder than the 19 Polaris. I will gladly take any steering improvements!

^talk to what's his name at JMC, the one who likes to ride. he sold me on the Mohawks, didn't give me that great of a deal, but no regrets. even like the incorrect tips they had that I modified to fit better. that stock keel wore me out. much better.

I did, for 3 rides. The snow was deep and the 19 cat skis performed much better.
I will put gippers back on tonight and ride tomorrow.

How did the skis workout? Being 3 years ago they must have worked well? Haha

Grippers definitely help ease the steering in spring snow however, they slide/push a bit too much in the deep. I prefer that cat skis for performance most of the yr.
Riding a Khaos was the best improvement for steering....
