Anybody been to Chama? How is it?

Was wondering that myself... Plan on heading that way after Christmas. Hopefully it is wonderful, best snow ever, lots of powder not to many tracks.....

Oh, well. Guess I'll have to find out for myself. Heading down there Dec. 26. It's great going to a place no one seems to know about!!

Very marginal. When I went they had not received new snow in almost a month.

fire up this old thread thinking of going there last week of march for a week. Riding partner rode there 30 years ago so it’s on my bucket list.

Anybody been to Chama? How is it?

Awesome! I've probably ridden 2000 miles around Chama.

Comparable to any of the other major destinations. Just not popular due to not many services or amenities close by.
