I ride Revy and Sicimous a couple times every season. Have a modded GadeX 860 stretched to 144" that I ride in Ontario. I live just west of Kitchener, do as much off-trail riding as I can in the south and usually make the trek to the Abitibi Canyon a couple of times each season as well. My inlaws just moved from Calgary to Ontario this past summer, but my brother-inlaw has a summer home in Sicimous, so I get there at least once every winter. He is riding a new XP800SummitX 154 and I have a 07 XRS 800R 151 that I have 50% shares in with his wife. Love the steep and deep!

You wouldn't happen to be part of the New Dundee club would you? I used to ride those trails quite a bit...

I Moved to BC 2 years ago primarily for the sledding and dirtbiking and definitely will never go back to Ontario, more than enough riding to last a life time here in BC. I'm actually working up in Inuvik, NWT at the moment, some pretty awesome boondocking around here...no stumps to watch out for! Had the option to drive up from Vancouver so I did and brought my sled, not much time to ride but have had some fun racing locals out on the river.

Made it down to West Yellowstone at new years for a couple days and have to say that area is pretty amazing too! Never understood what all the hype was about so I decided to check it out first hand was really impressed... bit different mountains than the riding in BC, but riding 3 states in one day was neat.

I did enjoy touring in N. ont, especially Wawa, Dubreilville, Hornepayne, but am definitely a complete mountain riding convert now... looking forward to some June riding when I get back to SW BC!

Yeah we have some peeps in Calgary and Kelowna. We flew to cowtown and trailered the sleds out to Valmeount from there... One of the XP's we rented ended up running like a pile of junk, it acted like a 340... so Vinnie Clark hooked us up with a sick deal on one of his XP's. You can bet his sleds all run right! lol Next time we go we're going to rent off him for sure.

We stayed in the main lodge at Twin Peaks Resort right in Valemount. The snow was ok, tons of base but it rained the week before we got in. The best spot we found was Upper Westridge, it was a bit of a PITA to get into, but once we got in it was nothing but sunshine and snow!

These are from last year. As soon as it snows some more up there i'll be heading up. It sucks this year because the motel in Smooth Rock Falls closed so you have to drive an extra 40 mins for a place to stay.

Elliot Lake, ON here...don't do any mountain riding just yet, but I love riding the hydro line in Elliot. Some pretty steep and technical stuff, always with tons of powder. The way I see it, I'll be graduating from this small stuff and prepare myself for what's to come when I head West. Elliot's an awesome place to ride if you've never been!

reviving this old thread :face-icon-small-coo

Rob here from wasaga beach - ride some local stashes and the escarpment as well. heading to bc shortly for last rip of the year (work trip with a side of play). i have a sister in elliot lake and was gonna head up there this year, cept georgian bay got all the snow this year. my last ride was beginning of march in almost two feet of fresh snow - got three days of sick riding (sick for ontario) on my new to me long track. kinda bummed it ended so soon cause i was just starting to learn how to ride off-trail proper. abitibi is on my hit list for next year. pm me if you wanna hit some stuff up in my local - lake effect snows usually starts to hit in december, along with first rides of the season.
