Do you have an aftermarket riser? If not just grab a CFR riser and attach one end horizontally to the broken post and stick the other half of the riser into the other riser and mount to the bars, ride it out. Change the post in a nice dry warm shop. Good luck

Hey thanks man that’s one hell of an idea. I have stock riser and stock bars so this should work? I’m gonna go pick some up today when I’m picking up the rest of my parts. Thanks for the great idea!

Was this your sled EZ smoke? How sturdy was the crf bars in this configuration. I picked up my upper steering post as well as a set of crf risers. I have to ride out of a pretty gnarly bowl I’m hoping to be able make it out with just the crf risers.

It will get you out, it’s surprisingly pretty sturdy.

Good news!!I was able to get my sled back home tonight. Thanks to everyone for the great advice it really saved my ass. I was able to limp it out with the crf handlebars and I got it back down to my truck where I changed the whole upper steering column and then headed back up top for some afternoon riding. Thanks again SnoWest Fam! Pictures below.

not a very good picture but if you zoom in you can vaguely see my arctic cat buried in the snow.

Summit8 and Ez smoke offered cool advice and Zriznek utilized the info. Zrisnek repaired it, limped it out, changed the post in the parking lot and then ripped up the mountain for more riding! Nice!
