Brainerd FAQ's

Better family event than the "big-one" LOL

BRAINERD SNODEOS GRASS DRAG & SWAP MEET FAQ’s

Q. Is it Vintage sled race classes only?

A. NO, this is the nicest “back yard” grass drag track in the State and we run everything here. Antique, vintage, modern trail stock, Improvers…

Q. Is there on site camping?

A. YES, but call or email for the “how to” of it. We have some spots w/ electricity.

Q. Is there a cost to camp?
A. Not much, $10.00 a night, $20.00 if you need electricity.

Q. What are the swapper fees?

A. $10.00 for a pick up load, $20 for 3 place trailer, $30 for a 4 place trailer. Gatekeepers have the authority to play the “lets make a deal”.

Q. Is there a cost for the Kitty Kat 120 racers?

A. Only the $5.00 to race then they get in the gate free.

Q. So the Kitty Kat 120 racers get trophies?

A. YES, its more of a “Participation “ trophy than anything. They all get one if they, win, lose, or oops tipped over.

Q. Are there bathrooms?

A. Yes, heated with showering opportunities also plus " porta - potties" brought in by Blakemans Pumping Service.

Q. Do I need a tek vest and teather to race?

A. Tek vest is a recommendation, have a working kill switch. Teather is better.

Q. Is there a scale for the sleds?

A. NO, we don’t race for much money so we don’t get very techno.

Q. Is there an age limit for the younger folks?

A. We prefer 16 yrs. Old, but younger with a parental signature is allowed.

Getting close.
We set up the course in miniature in front of our clubhouse Yesterday to check the timing.
Young timing 'guru's' Steve and Mike have things dialed in.

Our timing and scoring for 4-lanes .
Our groomer shack and club room is located in the Brainerd Industrial Park, about 1/4 mile from the Grass Track. Budweiser beer across the street , Miller beer 1-block away, and UPS depot at the intersection. :D
