Anyone changed out their 44 bottom gear with anything larger ? Curious to what size a guy can gear down to... 46 - 47. Probably requires a longer chain too i would imagine.
Riding Revy at 4000 - 7000ft with clutching and full Jaws exhaust.

I would gear it as low as humanly possible. Ie-As big of bottom sprocket and a 19 tooth on top. It might need a custom bottom sprocket made.

Sheet metal fab is dumb. Don’t listen to him unless he explains why one needs a 77mph top speed at 1-1 ratio.

Looks like she's a bit tight in there, but should be able to squeak another tooth or two. Wahl Bro's makes up to a 46T.

Ooh your right, she a bit tight. Yep, any additional teeth are a benefit. Experiment! Keep us updated. You could be a gearing pioneer!

Ordered up a 46T from Venom. Gearing calculator says the 74P chain will work.
If anyone is interested, Venom gave me the HY-VO gear O.D.'s :
Stock 44T is 5.096"
45T is 5.22"
46T is 5.34"

Difference of 0.244" from stock. Increase of 0.122" (3.09mm) to the bottom of chain case.
2.42 gearing / Final Drive of 2.63

If you climb in soft snow you do want 77mph track speed there is nothing wrong with that

Well Burandts turbos only get 45mph in his soft snow in a steep climb so if you can get a NA sled to turn 77mph, you will be a sled god.

Two things were broken. The sound barrier and yer shoulder haha. You’re a trooper though. Not even a moan or a pain complaint. Total sledsoldier, suffering in silence.

Trying to install this 46 bottom gear is a real biatch. Can't seem to get the 74p chain to stretch enough to get it all together. I have the drive shaft and jack shaft unbolted and slid to mag side. And if I do get'er is it going to be to tight !? Wondering if i'm needing a 76p chain, but worried I will have to much dog leg...... anyone have these issues ?

Don't think it will work, it was all I could do to install the 45 tooth bottom.

I froze the gears overnight and juuuuuust got them on at lunch, but the chain tension is wacked.
Teth-Air, I was in the understanding that an 18 top is to small and to stick with a 19 ?

Got a 18T coming and 76P chain to be covered both ways. Heading to Revy next weekend to test her out.
