fuel injected 670 turbo

i have a fuel injected 670 turbo sled built by Hymark performance, does anyone know how to contact the man who built it? his name,i believe,is Steve Benson. i would appreciate the help.

I had one of there turbo kits on 580 arctic cat ,i was told when they went out of buisness they sold stock and rights to Brad Story ,the guy i sold it to contacted him to get a new injector ,don't know for sure how to get ahold of him ,but i think he owns Thunderstruck films.

Now that's some sketchy info.;) Boost Addict is Brad Story. I don't think Steve Benson was involved in the Hymark turbo deal because he is still around, but doesn't use the Hymark name. Could be wrong on that though. Kind of skeptical about Brad having anything to do with them other than maybe running one back in the day and being familiar enough with them to know where to get parts.

Steve Benson IS the Hymark guy, also the ATS Diesel turbo guy, also a one of the 3 in HP3 Propane Turbos (Brad Story and Verlin Simmons being the other 2 in HP3)

He did the Hymark clutches and the EFI turbos. He (Steve) is the guy that did the EFI 670 Rotax - no question.

The other 2 in HP3 might be able to get you in touch with him. Good luck.

i had a hymark turbo on my 583, good luck finding stuff for it, now the injectors are dodge magnum injectors for the 318 or 360, now you can cross reference what they came out of and order a set of 8 performance injectors, cheaper to buy a pack of 8 performance then 2 stock, i believe they are also the same injectors in the 3.8L Caravan too

Good info. Guess I'm eatin' crow tonight!!:D Didnt realize Benson is involved in the ATS turbo game or teamed up with Story and Simmons.

I know back in the day these turbo's ran quite well. How do they stack up now? What kind of boost do they run? Any idea on HP?

my 670 makes 200 hp at 15 pounds and 225 at 21 pounds. i usually run on 10 pounds at around 180 hp on avgas just to save on fuel costs. on 8lbs it runs side by side with the rt and usually outdoes the M1000.

Clint Cannon owns ATS.

He does now, but Steve Benson started it. I think SB sold out in about 2005.

From a quick google search:

"Steve Benson, the owner and founder of ATS, sold the company to ATS Diesel Performance of Colorado. Along with the sale went the company name, website name and the remaining inventory.

The "new" ATS still sells parts for most of the older systems, and also has diagrams available from their website."

21 psi on a 2 stroke:eek:, didn't know you could do that:confused:

I can't swallow 21 pounds. I had one of benson's 670 turbos and all I got was 11.
180-7lbs.
210-11lbs.
He told me he had ran his at 14. I told him I couldn't get that much. He said I needed to modify the y pipe and use heavier springs. I had trouble keeping my pipe together at 11 so there is no way you are getting 21. He told me they played with a 583 to see what it would take. When they hit 18 lbs it blew the head off.
I talked to him at the Expo last year. I believe he told me he sold ATS and kept Highmark. He is partnered up with Simmons and Story.
I was thinking of trying a new 2 stroke turbo. I hope they are more reliable. Mine ran good but there was something always going wrong. Most of the time it was the pipe. It would also load up bad in the trees and would take a minute to clean it out. It would also burn 20 gallons a day and I would still have to leave early. That sled was on a rope more than any sled I ever had.

This is what numbers I have gone by. I have a 670 with an aero and at 12 psi they claim 212hp.
I would love to see one run @ 21psi. Not from to close though.....:D

i have not personally ran 21 pounds but I have ran 15. and ive gone though 3 pipes, they do blow up quite well. lol. ive made several changes to mine and testing it tomarrow.

Just one stage

Linderman was running a 900 cat turbo at fairview last year running 21 or 22 lbs of boost along with 2 stages of N02!!!!

matty he only had one stage on the sled and it was shut off with a pressure switch at 5 lbs, but had a just in case button if needed. IT definitly did 22 with some tricks to keep it together.
