Hello, I just acquired a 2000 700 SKS, I am wondering what the sea level carb specs are, as the sled is currently set up for out west. What plugs do these run? It currently has champions, that I will replace with NGK, I am assuming BR9ES. What should the clutches be set at as well, for sea-level, as far as springs and weights? Thanks alot guys.

Got one in the garage too! Carbs 185/190 on mains, clutches: primary-Dark Blue spring, 10-60's, secondary has a R-11 (45/36), Silver/Blue spring.

Runs way better with a SLP Black/Red primary and a SLP 50-34 Helix

Thanks a ton man, now I just have to find someone around here that carries those clutch parts. When you say 185/190, you mean that they are staggered, and both sides run different jets? Or that I could run either? Do you have the rest of the carb specs? Needle position, fuel screws.......etc?

Also, I am a little slow on Polaris's clutching as well, what are you referring to with 10-60's?

Thanks Again.

This info is for an SKS correct? I heard somewhere that RMK's run different carbs, so the jetting is different.

Same carbs.

38 pilots, 1371G needle in #3, I run 175-178 for mains to zero safely. if you don't want to worry about it then 180 PTO 185 MAG and you are safe to at least 15 below. The air screws are a little finnicky on the Keihens. I run mine @ 1.5 out above 20 ish degrees and 1.0 truns out below that. You will notice the difference:)

I would run an almond round with 62's if you can pull them. Shoot for 8200 on the tach as it probably reads high as most do for warranty reasons. R11 with a silver blue in #2 in the secondary. If you want more out of it then a Hot-Seat 36S or 36X would be a nice upgrade.

I run a bit larger main jet than FEZ, but the head is cut 10,000th's, V-Force Reeds, and SLP pipe/can combo. Dropped gearing to 22/40. You also can try the Polaris R-12 Helix (50/36), stock on the RMK's

I have a 2000 Polaris service manual that covers the 600's, 700's and 800's, that you can have for $25 shipped in the US.
