getting some base

As of today, 67cm base at 5,300 ft so it's coming along. It's dumping so I would expect snowpack to tip 100cm at that elevation next week. top of the mountains are 6,000 to 7,000 ft so expect 20% to 30% more snowpack at those elevations.
Getting there is going to be the tricky bit...need a lot more at lower elevations to access.

we are getting our typical low elevation rain after our biggest snowfall of the year, 2 steps forward 1 step back. long ways to go before we have good riding without having to drive all the way up the road

rode corbin town site today with Thistledoo and raining hard down low. Lots of puddles and lakes on the road. got into rain gauge and had 3-4 foot of snow. lots of open stream beds but got 21 miles in to break the new viper in. I'll try and post some pics later.

Hey guys, planning on trying to ride BC some this year and never realized that Fernie was so close to the states. I would sure be interested in hearing what Fernie is all about if anyone is willing to share?

fernie is great, super chill town, not much for big chutes or anything like revelstoke, but endless tree riding great terrain for exploring.

Thanks

Harvey Pass might be okay since it's a higher elevations. Sun / rain affected snow is now frozen so pretty set up snowpack now. Head to the Morrisey turnoff from hwy 3, and turn right on the lodgepole road. Take it for about 45 minutes to the staging area. Riding is 1 mile from there.
Most of the shops in town can give you detailed directions.
