Question...
I have a 2014 M8000. I had a exhaust temp sensor (PN 0630-330) go bad today. I have a new exhaust temp sensor (PN 0630-229) for a 2009 M8. Does anyone know the specs of these two sensors, so I might be able to use the 0630-229 sensor on my 2014? I know on my 2009 M8, after I replaced the sensor three times in two seasons at $125 a pop, I wired in a 470 ohm resistor to the ECU and rode it for three more seasons without a problem.
Thanks!

I assume you already know the connectors are different?

Yes they are. I used the connector from the bad 330 sensor and put it on the new 229 sensor. With the 229 sensor in the sled, it seems to work fine. I know on my 2009 M8, at operating temp, the sensor is at 470 ohms.

ebay 12643246 will run you 35.00 to your door and works. and has the correct connector.

I have used that exact sensor on my 2009 M8 by changing the connector. That is the one I am using, and it does have the correct connector for my 2014 M8000, and it seems to work fine. I am assuming the only difference in the 329 and the 330 was the connector.
I wasn't sure if the specs of the sensor was different........?

don't know if it has the same range for sure but i'm betting it is the same. funny i had 2 x 2014 proclimb 800 lose the temp probe at 200 mile each. replace with the one above and all good. my 16 has 800 miles on it now and no problem with the probe.

Yeah, it get's old replacing the temp sensor once or twice a year at $130 from Cat!

If you're running the one above with no problems on your 14, then I'll be fine since its the same exact one I have. I'm guessing the change in Cat's part number is because of the different connector. I'll retrofit my bad sensor with the resistor and carry it with me just in case.
Thanks!
