2020 Pro 163”.
1100miles this season.
Not a single issue this season.
In my opinion this 2020 850 felt stronger than my 2019 850. But to be fair I did run TRS clutching this year and that set up flat out works!

2021 is on order and can’t wait for next season already!

20' with just over 500 miles for the year - ran great!

Was thinking of adding Kurts gear down kit and clutching, but why mess with a good thing?

Respondents--- mileage is important. Sleds @ 2000 miles can reveal a lot of issues that won't pop up in 3-500 miles.

2020 ProRMK 163, Khaos Geometry, 7" shorter tunnel running MTNTK 5' cooler (stock coolers are not plumbed in)

2400 miles--- no mechanicals
Couple of electrical failures-- Water Temp sensor (twice until the latest sensor fix good now), EGT sensor (same sensor they ran since 2018-- think it was an anamoly)

I would steer clear of a 2019 without the FULL 2020 updates (groove in case/ lockring versus loctiting bearing to case half)

850 motor pulls a LOT different than 800. My initial reaction to riding mine was "uh-oh" thinking I just wasted $15,000.... as the motor broke in, it got stronger and stronger. After rebuilding one of my 800s, I was able to ride them back to back in the same conditions. The 800 is snappier and revs faster, the 850 just PULLS like a freight train. Pulls a lot harder in deep, steep trees.

Will be transitioning my personal sleds (four Axys 800s, one 850) to all 850s.
SEEMS like most of the 2019s that had issues showed up in the first few hundred miles, we saw lots of complaints in December and January last season, and VERY few after that.

20’ Khaos converted to 163. Stock for 200 miles, and Silber turbo for 600 miles. Runs perfect, not one problem other than trees seem to have an attraction for it, weird.

2020 RMK 155 850 Stock 50hrs
Ride at 2000-3500Ft east coast
TRS clutching=Very Good
Bikeman Munchie Can-Great but a bit loud.

Initially during break in I had a bit of fouling, and it has a weird “run on” anomaly that is a bit irritating at times.
I had the latest flash installed in March, hoping for a cure and it caused starting issues, a slight bog and some backfiring.
Overall the sled works well, however this motor is not even close to the run quality of my last 2 or 3 800’s.
I think I would have been happier if I went with the old 800 motor, as unfortunately Polaris doesn’t seem to completely have this one dialed in.
No other issues...... yet!

Your comment about the run quality of the 800 vs 850 really perplexes me. Every 850 I have been on runs smoother and nicer than ANY 800 I’ve ridden, with the exception of the 2019s during break in.

This is my experience, however my crew who all were on 800’s agree. Their 19’s and 20’s are suffering issues with run quality as well. So far the 20’s are better as we had a couple of the 19’s fail.
My 800 ran flawlessly. Had SLP pipe/can, was crisp and never had a bog/fouled /plug or run on throttle issues. It vibrated more and I had to change engine mounts every season, but in general out 800’s were bullet proof.
Unfortunately, we cannot day that about these 850’s.

3126 km on my 2019 850/163/2.6 and ran flawlessly, had the 19.5 flash as well as added a clutch kit. best sled I've ever owned.

Ben's kit, I believe his name here is dragonweld800. a great kit and Ben does a ton of testing as well as having a bunch of very experienced riders that know there stuff testing his kits at different riding altitudes and conditions. he's also the great at picking up the phone and taking the time to help you understand things. the best customer service I've experienced.

Yep I ran his kit on my sled which is the same as yours. Couldn’t be happier.

Only regret I have with my 19 850 PRO is that I did not run it more last winter. What a fun sled... The Patriot engine will be a BIG hit for Polaris. Runs stronger and smoother than anything else I've ridden. Had lots of 800 Polaris

Encouraged to hear about everyone's reliable 19's. I bought a 19 with 115 miles on it several months ago. From day one - it would foul a plug every single ride. Unload - ride several hundred feet to validate dropped cylinder - change plug - ride all day...load on trailer... and then repeat next ride. Several weeks ago I took it into the dealer to have it flashed to the latest. (when I was at the dealer - I found out under the previous owner it seized and they rebuilt it at 115 miles - right before I bought it.) Dealer said - they didn't find any rhyme or reason for the failure - but rebuilt and installed known updates at the time. (Check valve) After that - it didn't foul any plugs - but it also wouldn't idle when cold without throttle. On the second ride after the flash - about 10 miles back in the middle of no where it died. Tried restarting - no power and popped and back fired so we towed it out. Dealer pulled it apart and found the exact same failure and still no know reasoning to why. But - it's now the Mag cylinder verses the PTO before. Since Tuesday they are waiting for final word from Polaris on what to do to correct. They are thinking possible injectors, bad fuel - or something. ( I run non -ethanol 91 and fill up at two spots that are frequented by sledders) I'm trying to remain positive that Polaris will do the right thing and replace the long block with an updated 2020 model and possibly the injectors as well. ( An injector bleeding down makes sense to the plug fouling). I even offered for Polaris to give me a screaming deal on a new one and they can donate mine to research...lol. We'll see what happens. Pondered switching to Doo..since I really want to have confidence in being able to make it back to the truck with a newer sled.....but really like the chassis and need to do what financially makes sense.
