The Fisher Creek Snotel is reading around 2 feet. As I was going out of town I saw sledders and skiers this past weekend. US Hwy 212 going East (The Plug) is now closed to wheeled traffic as of Monday, November 4th at 8:00 AM. We will be open beginning December 6, 2019. We are looking forward to a great season. We are taking reservations now. Check out our availability and prices on line on our website. If you're going through you gear don't forget to put new batteries in your beacons. Good Morning From Cooke City! Forecast is calling for 8-10 inches by Sunday Morning! More Snow in the Forecast for Sunday.

Are you prepared for an avalanche? The Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center is putting on a FREE Avalanche Rescue and Local Snowpack Update every Friday night in Cooke @ Soda Butte Lodge at 6:30 to 7:30 PM. There is also a Avalanche Rescue Skills Practice on Saturday from 10-2 at Round Lake. If you're coming to Cooke make sure you check these out! If you haven't already, now is the time to get those batteries changed in your beacons! Ride safe out there!
