Does anyone run drop brackets on their XP? If so how do you like them, where did you get them, and any pictures?

I have been running the drop brackets since last year. I wanted more distance between the bottom of the track and the running boards. They work great.
I got mine from Smittye Speedworks (Smittys800).

If you talk to the General on here, he's got A SET FROM smitty's speed wrks that he will probalby sell you, They are Anodized Orange. If you do them you have to drop the front aswell.

I have a pair never installed. PM me, my sled seems to do just fine without em.
They are Smitty's

Personally I would use a complete replacement drop bracket. Seen too many stock XP brackets break, mine included. I replaced mine with the tombersled brackets.

Do you always need to replace the front too? Has anyone had trouble with bending drop brackets or with the suspension not feeling set up right anymore?

I bought the timbersled ones for my 07 rev and thought they were a friggin joke. Save yourself some money and go dig through the scrap pile at your local machine shop. I forget what he charges for them, but I remember it being WAY too much for two aluminum plates (with no holes or markings) and a bag of bolts.

I have the smittys brackets on the rear of mine. I also drilled the front out in two different positions so I can experiment or 'tune' the suspension during the season to see what I like better.

These are the holes up front that I drilled. The top hole is stock. I took the backing plate off of the inside of the tunnel and used it as a template for drilling. My goal was to keep the track at the stock angle as much as possible.

Some guys don't like to drill holes in there Tunnel/Machine and to be honest I didn't like to do it either lol but I didn't want to mess with the holes during the season if I wan't to experiment.

I picked up a set of the smitty's brackets to try and limit the transfer, they seem to work on the flats, no mtn testing yet.

The racers edge brackets look very nice but they do not drop the skid at all if that is what you are after.

two sets of Smitty's for sale

I hasve two sets for sale $70 a pair
One set anodized orange
Other set is polished
These are top shelf. Reinforces the stock brackets. And look great. I was looking for more tunnel clearance for my 3” camo but it turned it into a wheelie monster
