hi i got a 09 arctic cat m8 and i wanna learn how to whip/turnout on small drifts,i think it is a sick looking move, how can i do this and what kind of conditions do i need

I'm guessing there is a combination of factors at play.
Sled weight, which has come down in the last 10 years
Sled power, which has gone up in the last 10 years (maybe just marginal till the boost kicks in)
Sled traction, which has gained with taller lug tracks and better designs
Rider knowing it can be done: This is where you are. Is your sled up to the challenge (see above points)?

probably easier to watch some vids on youtube to get an idea than trying to read it. Dan Adams with next level and proven progression has vids more tuned to instructional. Im pretty sure I remember one or both of those guys having a good vid on that. After you check them out we can probably walk you through any specific questions.

You gotta start with a wrap on your sled. Flashy, not too dull. Then make sure your suit is all matchy, matchy. Bright colors, keep the black to a minimum. Then do a bunch of warmups in the parking lot with full pin brapping around the other trailers. Make sure you're always standing up, looks cooler that way. After that just grip it and rip it around the drift.

You can start by practicing in soft powder conditions with an open area to maneuver. Approach the drift at moderate speed, shift your weight to the outside running board, and use throttle to break the rear end loose while countersteering to initiate the whip. Gradually increase the size of your drifts, focus on smooth throttle control, and always ride with safety gear and a buddy.
