Dim light, no readout in dash 2007 rmk 600 ho

Ok. Been at my dealer all summer. He has replaced the voltage regulator and the stator with no change. Now he wants to replace the wiring harness? Any ideas would be appreciated. Engine runs fine other than this issue. Light is very dim and no instrument readout
