cut your foam back under hood for deep snow/lots of WOT

melted my intake plenum after loonnggg stretches of WOT in deep snow. added some heat tape and found the first gill in the clutch side upper vent is blocked by foam. I cut it back there and will be sure to wipe this vent clear when i stop for breaks or burn it in deep snow now. Just thought id share.

First thing I do on all my sleds when I get them is remove all the foam from under the hood.
Reduces heat and weight. Especially when the foam gets water logged

yeah, removing it would be better yet, if you dont mind a little extra noise. I removed the messy pipe insulation. could be why i had this issue, but it was worn through and falling apart when i took the clamshell off for a look. That stuff is like a sponge holding moisture around the pipe.
stays a lot cleaner under the hood now.
