A buddy of mine was putting some CPC sno-eliminators on his 2003 King Cat a week ago and wanted to position them back a little farther from the foot wells.

Anyways, to make a long story short, he wound up cutting a chunk out of the rear suspension bracket that's riveted into the tunnel on both sides ... about 1/2 the bracket is still riveted in, the other half wound up being cut away.

Anyways, my question is .... How safe is this to ride on? Has anyone else (heh) ever done this before and NOT had problems with it? Does anyone make a 'shorter' type of syspension bracket that can be replaced on the tunnel to make up for this?

Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks.
