That price is for a NEW engine with no core, the lower prices you are seeing is for a reman motor with a core.

Skidoo Rebuilt motors from the Skidoo factory and Skidoo warranty. The warranty covers parts and labor when installed by a dealer.

They call it a short block, complete motor minus the head, reads, carbs, and power vavles for 2700 then you wait for your 700 dollar core return. The 6 thousand sum dollar ones you guys are talking about are complete with power valves ect. Just what i know from our local dealer, we just put a short block in my brothers 08.

I've been waiting almost 2 months now for my core refund - $2700 bucks for the new short block untilI get the core refund. I'd like to know what takes them so long to send the refund back - nice program

Well my dealer quote me $2700 to $3000 installed depending on what little extra things they might need. I've just become a little concerned because my 07 R motor has 2700 miles on it and I'd like to get a couple more years out of this sled.

My buddy just got his 07 done at the same dealer $2900 and his was a big mess.

BRP refunds core charges in 2-3 weeks to dealer...YOUR dealer is F'n with you...not BRP...

800HO long blocks retail at $1475 plus $700 core (US $)...soooo???-BJ

BTW- I doo rebuilds to prevent major engine damage and down time...600/800HO with new crank/pistons/gaskets/seal/iso flex grease and a trued crank for $1195...800R is $1495 add $195 for case mod on $2007's...
