crankshaft question

hey just a question i have an 04 900 carbed with the crank nose broken off and i have an 800 04 mountain cat engine with a blown piston, does any one know if i can swap the crank from the 8 to the 9? thanks

I'm someone will be along later who knows more, but as far as I understand the bottom ends are the same between the 800 and 900. In fact I've seen 900's with 800 jugs, though not sure about the other way.

If they are both EFI or both carbureted, it will work. If one is EFI and one carbed, it won't work.
