Cracked PIDD

A tree branch cracked my pidd screen. Everything works fine, just cracked glass. A new one is $800. Has anyone ever pulled one apart and replaced the glass?

Order a new one. I had the whole face fall off this winter and it broke all the wires. Got a new one online for $751 shipped. Sorry for your luck

Anyone find out who replaces cracked screen/glass on PIDD they do this everyday for cell phones and phones are much more complicated devices

i have a used one with 3200 km on it , 900 Canadian with harness.

I pulled apart the basic gauge after my son broke the case. It was not too bad to do. I expect the PIDD is the same. You will need to have it apart to see if it can be fixed. What do you have to lose?
