Anyone crack a footwell bracket on their Matryx? I did this weekend.

To be fair, ski took a pretty hard hit on a land mine lurking below the surface, enough to snap the a-arm. It was my knee that came down on the bracket at impact, cracking it before I was ejected.

I’m kind of surprised how weak it is, curious if anyone else has seen this.

I guess it is better they break than trap your foot in there during a hit.

Yeah, not the toe hold. I've seen Burandt's post about the ZRP unit, that wouldn't make a difference here.

This is the structural bracket that ties the rear over structure to the chassis and supports the front outside foot board... critical to the frames integrity. Here's another pic with the busted chunk removed, you can see it a bit better.

Not trying to stir the pot, just curious if any others have seen them break. This one’s on me, I smoked it good, as evidenced by my swollen knee.

Black appears to be available from my end too, though not in stock locally.

Where mine's broke, the over structure is left dangling. Not really rideable. Hoping that part does come, not ready to quit yet.

They break fairly easy when you hit something with your ski’s turned.
The overstructure bolts up to a very weak casting. Hopefully an aftermarket support will come available. One thing nice about the replacement, Polaris no longer glues them in. They know it’s an issue.

Can see how a limited flex isolator might come into play if the issue becomes more common as miles get put on next year by the unpaid R&D team. Might take some engineering talent to design. Not the first time - there's the pro "flex-i" tunnel, carbon tube over structure, QD driveshaft and glued a-arm failures. Jeez, we sledders put up with some crap...

It's what we owe for b$tching that we want lightweight while not overpricing the product.

yakima, wa.
Seen one break on the first or second ride this season.
It's not a great design.
They are easy to replace. No glue.

Replaced the bracket no problem. Was out with my brother yesterday, this time it was his turn. He glanced a rock side hilling.

Would be great to see a beefier version of this bracket, oem or otherwise… ZRP???
