Tis a full moon and I REALLY want to impress my neighbors. Whom. Put in 17 teepee tents that they rent out for $300 a night next door.

Of wolf and Man - Metallica...

Full moon with any luck breathes some life into this beast!

Working on muffler after I jig up the sled for final assembly. Kinda hoping this project continues to snowball itself out the door as I'm second guessing snowmobiling. Sleds. Life in general. Well past the love/hate stage 🥲

Of wolf and man... metallica
P.s. if I say that phrase again im scared a small Danish boy named Lars will appear- to help me on my quest?

@joshkoltes much apreaciated. She is actually outside at mercy of the birds and the bees right now. Been pretty busy fighting the local and now federal government in relation to property rights. Covid 19 ect.

Some update on pics. Not much progress although soon enough some pretty exotic parts will need to be finished up. Not sure if it will be done before haydays or not but definitely will be ready before I pick up the 22 boost

Would like to get some ice age spindles as well as a set of ice age or possibly carbon fiber rails done. I have reached out to carbon sled and another person. Very little intrest on their part . Also been working on what I dub THE #karenkiller lol.

Got the new twin scroll stu stu war boy in strait from J A pan... #jdmaf ??? Not really but... it's as close to an aerocharger as I can go. Should spool well hope it's not lame on the top end. With two slp pipes feeding it I'd think not but no matter how many numbers one crunches there is only one way to verify and that IS in the REAL world...

Beyond that. Looking for a set of 2 or 4 of these nolegy wires(pic 5).. and moving into this winter with any luck I will be starting a rag tag rental fleet. This sled will be on the list if it all "goes". Won't be cheep though cause it's diet of vp110 only is firm

Also tempting on becoming a dealer for brisk racing plugs and a few other companies. Pm dm whatever. (Plug wires with ground straps in pic 5, can't cannibalize the old trippple now that vintage racing is getting a welcomed comeback) and where brisk style plugs far outshine conventional.

What turbo is that? If there are compressor and turbine flow maps for it, I can tell you if it is big enough and what to expect. Given it has twin scroll bearings, it isn't going to spool up like a ball bearing turbo and you will need to feed it sufficient oil volume. Oiling the bearings off the motor like is done on new kits likely won't be enough volume to suspend the bearing. If not, it will scar and burn up the bearings. A twin pipe turbo is an unnecessary complexity and it won't likely give you more power in the end. Pipe pressure matters for tuning, and you will likely have differing pipe pressures, leading to more fuel demand for the higher flow cylinder. If you cannot sufficiently control fuel distribution, you may end up frying pistons. I have written in depth explanations on turbocharging on snowest. Look for those posts if you have interest. In the end, good luck with your build.

@xpturbo600 I'm using a subaru 2.0l as a sort of ghetto test bed for some of my projects. I suspect you are correct on the twin Scroll idea and most definitely so in the oiling department.

Very curious to your sizing info. To be specific I am playing with an ihi vf44 toying with the idea of getting a cheep China brand compressor sized accordingly as it definitely will not be efficient in moving the amount of air that the "old" gtx 2867r does on the top end.

I'd like to get a g550 but Garrett claims there is no point in twin scrolling these days because of how efficient their technology has become. Ohh and $$$$

I do have a modified slp single set up with a mostly original 2013 race spec boondocker kit. There is no such thing as "no expense spaired" and I find my budget for this mod sled currently falling flat in order to pay for the 22 boost. I do however have an interesting take on equalizing the pressures between the twin pipes. Call it an afterburner button. in theory, and if I'm not mistaken, a lot of the positives of twin pipes is how much they grow in volume when hot. For fueling I'm just* using a bd control box and vp110. A Matched set of 4 injectors @750ml. Forged wiseco pistons with a balanced rotating assembly. And an air to air boondocker intercooler converted to water/air. Useing the oem polaris rush style cooler mounted in the front of the tunnel.

The Cmx chassis being 16" wide adds some complexity in this area. Ultimately I intend to make the sled dirt worthy soon. If you are familiar with antilag systems used in WRC, you might be able to make some guesses as to post turbo ****ery.

*Hey if your sled is multi-fuel, does it count as a hybrid? What is "lift"... IM totally ripping off like 5 or 6 sled turbo innovations over the years TRYING not to be biased in order to produce a worthy end product. This sled will be proven (good and bad) next to a boost. PRODUCT being a loose term, I may sell it but won't be selling another.

Those specs won't help you. That turbo isn't going to flow like the garrett. I had a gtx 2867 gen 1, a gtx 2867 gen 2, and now have a g25-550. They are all good turbos for your application. Why use a sub par Subaru turbo? If you want to try the twin setup, get a twin scroll inlet made for the garrett. You can buy a vband that meshes and weld directly to it.

I won't rehash turbo specs here, but 2 strokes are not comparable to 4 strokes when turbo charging. A 2S needs a considerably larger turbine housing and wheel to get favorable pipe pressures. Use the garret you have and move on.

I do dig the cmx chassis. Cool find.

I have been rebuilding my turbo kit around the g25-550. There is a lot more to look at than just the turbo. But, here it is since you asked for the turbo. The first image shows the new manifold. The second shows the g25 mounted in the chassis on the old manifold, which had a turbo blanket clearance issue. The last image is obviously the down pipe and waste gate over the air to water tunnel cooler.

@xpturbo600 you got a build thread going on for updates? That is a sick build! What is that a skandick? lol what in tf are you building that thing for? Nice work none the less. I have some other projects kicking around begging for attention. One of them being a monoblock piston port trippple 2 stroke. I have it mocked up for a future theory/test bed... mostly the concept being that it uses a 78mm or roughly 3" OD map sensor PRE turbocharger POST throttlebody. (all in one unit via combining some 4.0l Ford ranger and gen 4 gm lst parts)

Now. The main issue with this proposed project I bring up is that of needing a standalone ecu ect... lol however I hope that helps your gears turn possibly in some way.

P.s. I have a 2000 bombardier ds650x that I have enjoyed the last couple years but lost all engine oil via the oil pressure cut off switch which OFCOURSE didn't work. Also in my hands is a totaled 2017 or 18 skidoo 600 ace? If I'm not mistaken it has a 649cc twin thats cfi. Was dabbling with the idea of swapping it into the bomb chassis for these type of fun games down the road! boooooooooosth stu stu #itsnevereenough I'm assuming your sleds a 900 or 1200? Do these engine lines cross to your knowledge in any way?

P.s.p.s are you also useing boost to help create "lift" or in other words to help drive the track at speed? a major complexity in this project is trying to do just that and is largely to do with the choice of the cmx chassis +1" more room to fit junk as well as my track choice. Anywhoos your work looks killer! I will use your MOJO vicariously with hopes my welds look more like yours and less like hellen kellers

I don't have a build thread. I don't think anyone wants to see me build this sled. The sled is a 2015 SR Viper I call snowflake. It is a 174 mountain chassis with an outlaw drag motor in it that runs on flex fuel (e85) with a Motec M130. The reason I have the g25 550 is because I maxed out a gtx2867 gen2 at 24 psi. The g25 gives me more flow capacity across the turbine to lower exhaust manifold pressure = more mass flow. If I cannot reach the tune target I will put a g30-660 on it next. I built it to make 30 psi at 10k feet.

You mentioned a skidoo 1200 turbo. My dad has one built by Chad Rebek at CR Racing. It is a brute and it runs a Motec M400. But, the viper will out perform it psi to psi because of all the work done to the motor to make it more efficient. So, yes. I am familiar with the 4tec 1200.

If you have a pile of cash, you can get your sled to run on a standalone. You just need to find the guy who can make it happen. You will spend 4 to 6k to get it wired up and running on a standalone depending on how much coding someone has to do to make your pile of parts work. Sensors have to be scaled, and the harness connections have to be accounted for in the jumper harness.

Lastly, the purpose of adding more power is always to get more track speed. I climb mountains, and I have a need for the chassis to get up on plane in the snow similar to what you think of when riding in a boat. If the sled can generate enough hills speed, it rises out of the snow and generates less drag. At that point adding horsepower has a direct relation to ground speed.

Also, I'm not a professional welder. I just taught myself as a hobbyist who is also an engineer. So, thanks for taking note of the welds on my header. That was a challenge for me to build. For reference, attached are images of the sleds with a shot of the future project sled I will make a build thread for. It is PHC propex #1. It is beat. The apex in the background is the future donor sled...maybe. the apex may be too nice.

Been a bit of a sour puss lately.

So. I'll embrace a tad bit of negativity. I paid the admission and so I'll take my sweet time. How about that? Hillary Clinton or Bill Clinton had Norm Macdonald doused with the cancer.

Or is it?

Norm macdonald. Age 61. Dies of FREE HEALTH CARE. ya know? Cause he is Canadian ? Ehh

Ordered a thing from China they ****Ed it up... baaad! Lol

So I'll fix it I guess? 🥲

Short recent video upload, I will not elaborate anymore. One can draw conclusions but if you have a keen eye, this ain't about c boys...

I'm a solid F student but only cause I try to bang or fight teachers

i have pictures of that propex on its maiden voyage. rode with laird the first day he brought it out (april 21, 2012), didnt even have a seat on it. its quite the machine thats for sure!

I would be interested to see some. Especially of the engine bay. I'm curious to see if it still looks the same. There are some things about it that are ghetto at this point. Too many people abused the poor thing since it left PHC. It will be better than new when I am done with it. But, I need to find time first. Haha!

i dont have much, just the two. nothing detailed but this was the maiden voyage for that sled back in 2012. also two of his custom tube chassis with a turbo CBR1000 (if i remember correct, may of been a gsxr1000) bike engine. still retained the 6sp shift but was changed to electric shift on the handlebars. always turned heads when that thing was wound out 10k+ rpm lol.

Wow. It looks way better in that photo. Haha. It still has the mess of blue hoses on it. I will probably change everything over to -an lines when I redo it. I also need to gut it and refab portions of the chassis. A lot of the fab work is not square. I'm sure the last one built is better than the first few.
