Trying to get ahead of the game and order up parts for my new 850 rmk matrix slash. Looking for a clutch kit, I ride from 2k to 6k in elevation. I had a Kurts in my 800pro and loved it. Just wondering what everyone is running. Thanks ahead of time

Try the matryx forum section in January.

Some sleds will have miles on them.
Some testing of the new FI system will be done. (Changed power delivery)
Some hacks will have “clutch kits” available.

Maybe the new primary clutch will even have some tuning parts available.

Bahahahaha! So true!
Bikeman, Ssi and speedwerx are located in the flatlands. But then sell “mountain clutch kits.”
Would you buy winter clothes from a store in Florida? No.
Would you buy a mountain “clutch kit” from a flat lander? No. But I have seen guys that did. The parts are currently paperweights.
Bahahahaha!

What's going to change from last year to the 22s, as far as power delivery, or what else is going to change were buying a clutch kit know compared to in the fall, is going to change?
Thanks

There's always a ridiculous amount of hype that comes with new sleds (especially polaris), new fuel systems and the like. The way I see it is throttle response may be slightly improved (present fual delivery at lower RPM's is a little off) but WOT horsepower will probably be very similar to any 850 you've ever seen and optimal clutching will more than likely be very similar from 2019 through 2022, time will tell but I for one am not worried one little bit a friends NA 2022 will leave my '19 in the dust. I feel people need to be more careful with clutch kits, I've seen some great running 850's performance completely destroyed after spending $350 to $450 on some guys hyped up clutch kit or gear kit, and many of them really think they made an improvement simply based off the amount of dollars spent until you run them into the ground run after run in varying condtions. Don't spend a dime until you've seen it on the snow leaving your present set-up in the dust.

For those who have road the 2022 850 rmks. Do you feel that the stock clutching is good, or could be improved with a clutch kit.

Possibly it won’t make that much difference but ride reports of the non boost sleds compared the stock matryx 850 to an slp stage 3 Axys 850 for response and power.
What’s interesting, all Polaris literature and specs I have seen “to date“ reflect the same clutch components from ‘19 to ‘22.
Maybe production will have a running change. I’m still waiting on a shop manual.

We have clutching that will work well with your sled and elevation. Tested in Valemount BC, significant boost in performance and backshift/ on off throttle response. Email me at
