I’d like to find a primary spring for my daughters 07 M6 that allows for a smoother, lower RPM, engagement over stock. Any suggestions?

Try a start number of around 100 lbs. Not many new springs have low engagement so you may have to call around and find an old school clutch tuner and/or spring.

I run it in my 800, nice low 2800 engagement. Thunder abc kit also smooths out engagement by closing up belt to moveable sheave clearance. Some of them 04-15 primaries have huge clearance. RPM screams up & ckutch slams into belt making abrupt engagement. My 6,7&800 all engage really smooth with any spring from 100-190 initial rate and ABC kit.

I had a 2007 600. To get a smooth take off the spring is a factor but I found that getting the belt tightened to just before sled creeps at idle and keeping the weight swing arm loose enough that the clutch weight swings very freely made the biggest difference. (tighten just enough that that the rubber O-rings contact well, might need a little lock tight on nut)
