I have a buddy with a 2020 alpha sleds awesome and runs great however when we took of this morning it started ratcheting or felt and sounded like ratcheting.

We have been very vigilant at looking after the track tension but none the less we snugged it up. Then went for a little put around it got so worse so we played with loser and tighter tensions and no luck.

seems like there is no oil in the chain case and it seems to be where the sounds are coming from.... Anyone with any thoughts?

possibilities are endless, was it full to start? cracks can be small and hard to see, and damage to plastic skid cover?

pro: everything
con: initial cost

your already going to be into it for the cost of inner/outer halves, chain and gears plus the inner half is no small task. makes zero sense to go back to stock

So tki setup is up in running in my buddies alpha. First ride out a lot of fine blue fibers in there.... no wear on the belt or any misalignment... is this normal?

The blue is normal until the new belt wears in a bit. Just check the tension. Once the belt does it's initial stretch to its final size, he should be good for a long time. It should be a great addition!

Blue dust is totally normal, if you havent already you will likely have to tighten the belt sometime in the first 100 miles, they stretch a fair amount.
