How is it looking up there? Anyone know. I have sled I bought this fall sitting up there and I am thinking of making a run up there to pick it up and get in a pre Christmas ride.

Prior to this storm the snow was pretty thin, only a few inches. So far over the weekend we have recieved maby 5 inches, and its blowing like crazy. i'm not sure if we'll end up with enough snow to start grooming or not. i'll be out tomorrow and update what i see.

Ya I guess not much at all. I am about 25 30 miles south of there in Edmore, ND and we maybe got 2 inches or so out of the storm...There is enough to ride in the ditches I think but I wouldn't do a full out full bore ride. Im just going to kinda tool around and cruise and take it easy till it get set up and we have more. The hills however I think have snow but I don't think enough to really ride there either. And I doubt the trails are groomed so.

Ya, we didnt get as much snow as i was thinking sunday. 2-3 inches is about it. went for a ride yesterday to scope it out, deffinately need more snow. sucks waiting with a new sled in the yard. landon, is it going to be worth going for a trip to detroit lakes or any where else down there? i have family east of there a few miles.

head west- if you really really want to take the new sled out for a ride i would stay with family in detroit lakes and ride east of there. i know in brainerd area they are grooming trails and ditchs are full. i think as long as your in trees your good to go with enough snow to ride.

Head west- like sledboy82 said...I would say there is enough but I would still be a little cautious for stuff under the snow as it is kinda that "first" snow if you know what I mean. It would make for a nice ride though except for the super cold temp we are having now which like my dad said is about the same back in Edmore. Id say dress warm and you should be good. Hell is snowmobiling whatta you expect though. Good luck!

thanks for the info guys. talked to a bud today, sounds like we're headed out to cooke after christmas so i'll have to wait till then.

Head West what is your name? I am from edmore and I was trying to figure out who ya were but its just not clicking so thought I would ask.

Riding is damn good up that way. I just put on 110 miles yesterday and didnt have time to pull my longtrack/ 2.25 paddle off cause I just got home from the mountains and even with my big track on it was fine. Trails are decent sometimes not so smooth but if you get there at the right time on the weekends they are usually groomed every friday/saturday night or earlier in the week for the weekend riding. Hope this helps ya out
