Carbon Sled P22 Fix Kit

Still doesn’t fix the inability to set belt to sheave clearance, the crappy tip weight and poor quality aluminum the P-22 is made out of. Step in the right direction though. P-85 is still the only real fix.

The Ti will be lighter, but with the flex it allows over hardened steel I question if it was the right material choice for this application. Time will tell.

The concept is a great idea. It should make the P22 last a bit longer.
I agree, totally, with madmax on the P22 issues.
Talking with TJ, I believe he will agree.

It would be interesting to see what the split is on 9R failures. Feels like I was seeing the bolt come out more than I was seeing it break but maybe I'm making that up

The source is all the same. Basically if u stretch the bolt a little before failure it would walk itself out fairly quickly from vibration. No matter what having a spider not surely attached to the movable sheave is the issue and this does target a quality solution.

As others have mentioned. Ti is cool but a proper hardened steel would make the most sense for pure durability sake.

I appreciate the after market community coming up with solutions to fix oem problems and I’m sure this is a quality product but even if it makes the P22 bulletproof why take a step back wards in clutching? Is it because we don’t want to adjust belt deflection? I know I’ve been beating a dead horse but I’m so over the P22

When Polaris first announced the P-22, I was just as excited as I was of listening to Metallica in the 80’s. Then I saw Lars play in person in ‘89 and was disgusted with his performance and in myself for believing he was a good drummer. Same exact thing happened with the P-22.

The only fix for the P-22 is throwing it in the trash can. Same for Metallica.

This takes the cake on dumbest analogy I’ve heard yet on this forum…

Oh man I thought it was great :ROFLMAO:

With that said, I had no idea these new P22s were having so many issues ... I'd been on a Lynx the last two seasons and just jumped ship back to Polaris.

Hopefully the P22 holds up for me =/

The only issue I have had with going to a p85 on my 9r's is clutch weight bushings only last 3-400 miles. Not much longer on my boost either. That's one of the advantages the p22 does have.
