Carb question

First of all I'm not a knowledgable motor guy, so looking for advice.

Went for a ride the other day and went through a tank of gas in about 10 miles (thought I had a hole in the tank) added gas and checked under the hood and seen it was squirting gas under the carb area (it was getting dark). Tonight I inspected and found, at the bottom of one carb, a crack in the 3" long hose that has a plug in the end. I think it's called the "drain plug". Other than losing fuel the sled ran fine.
Could this cracked hose be the sole source of my problem?

Those r there to get the water out of your carbs. Replace it and I believe it will clear up ur problem.

Hmm, let me think.......fuel tank losing 1 gallon per mile......gas spewing out of cracked water trap into bellypan.....WHAT ELSE COULD IT BE?!?

Replace all your fuel lines, along with both watertraps. Our ethanol mix fuels deteriorate old fuel lines, so yours are all likely ready to suffer the same fate. This includes the fuel pickup in the tank, which is attached to a threaded fitting in the front of the fuel tank.

That's a good idea to replace all the fuel line too and while ur at it change the fuel pump pulse line too that runs between the pump and the crankcase.
