The owners of Canyon Springs has decided to close their business to snowmobile traffic for the season. They will still be open for their traditional supper evening menu Thursday thru Sunday nights. They did close the gate on the trail going into their place. Even though there were several factors in their decision it was noted they were having issues with snowmobilers not staying on the trail and wandering around their property.

Just goes to show a few bad apples can ruin it for the rest of us. We are all labeled "snowmobilers" and whether you respect other peoples property or not, those that don't will have an impact on the rest of us. If there are businesses in the Black Hills, along the trail system that choose not to cater to snowmobilers because they are not respectful.... that's not a good thing.:face-icon-small-dis
