Can a 99 700 oil pump used on a 98 motor?

My brother in law recently purchased a 98 700 rmk engine. Has the oil pump on it with 3 lines that come off of it. He wants to use newer rack style carbs on the motor which requires the oil lines to be run into the carbs instead of the way the oil line would normally go on the 98.. My question is, can a 99 rmk 700 oil pump be used on the 98 rmk 700 motor in place of the 98 pump since it has the 4 lines instead of 3? Motor is the same other than the pump, and carb boots from what I can tell. Does anyone know if this can be on this for sure?

Switch the whole syst ,oil pump on the 98 with 3 lines feeds into fuel line and crank ,run lines into carb boots or oil feed nipple.and crank.

It is currently on a 3 line setup.. I dont want it to be.. I want it to be run on the 4 line.. have the carbs already.. I just want to know if the 99 oil pump can be used on the 98 motor.

Yep. In 99 they simply split the line that went to the fuel pump and fed both carbs instead.
