Does anyone have an update on the conditions south of Trailshead? Wondering about heading south on Friday.

Conditions will be good. There is 4-6 inches of powder over a lightly crusted base. More snow is predicted Thursday night and Friday.

A group of guys from iowa are headed to deadwood sunday.Any idea how getting in and out of deadwood will be.Staying at deadwoodgultch.Also where is the best snow to find meadows to ride in????

i have stayed in deadwood several times and parked the trailer at a big lot on the east end of town and have had good luck with it. Now, being that it is presidents weekend that might be a bit harder with the crowd that i would bet will be there for "tourist/partiers". We always ride out of trailshead due to they always seem to have the most snow and just pick a direction each day and venture off trail. Usually that is how you find the untouched play areas that many do not see from the trail. Now that we have had an enclosed trailer for a couple years we just lock it up and leave it in the parking lot at trailshead and drive back and forth from where we are staying.
