SDSNOCOP, What happened to the game fish and parks South Dakota trail conditions web page? I had a shortcut saved (http://gfp.sd.gov/to-do/snowmobile/map.aspx) that would take me right to it but now it just takes me to the game fish and parks "things to do" page.

They just launched a new gfp.sd.gov website today. I assume you will need to save a new shortcut.

It warm earlier in the week, Trails got soft, they groomed, it got cold and now the trails are smooth but hard with some thin and icy spots. Was out for a club ride tonight. The Mountain sleds were having problems keeping cool.

Snowed much of the day again today. Approx. 3-4 inches of new snow. Conditions have improved dramatically over the weekend. Snotels are up around the 20 inch range. They are up 8-10 inches over last week.

There is snow on the trail going out of Deadwood right now but little to no base in most places. It is suppose to be warm mid week then cooler with chances of snow for the weekend. Some are venturing off trail. It is getting better but you still have to be careful. Looking at the 2 snotel sites we are at or above the past 15 year average for January 15th. Rapid Creek is at 22 inches with an average of 17 inches, a high of 28 inches in 2014 and a low of 8 inches in 2005. Blind Park is at 19 inches with an average of 19 inches, a high of 35 inches in 2009 and a low of 14 inches 5 of the 15 years.
