Im in the market for a used/holdover sled. Im currently on a 16' m8 which has been great ,over 2k hard mountain miles last season. I might stay with cat or move onto a Ayxs. I came off a 800 pro that blew the crank at 2200 miles, so Im a bit hesitant to go back to a Polaris. Whats the most reliable year for the axys? I plan on putting alot of miles on this year. Thanks

We have had 2 from every year. I always felt our 2016's seemed to have the best seat of the pants feel. But, we did not have some of the issues others had with that year.

I think it just depends on luck a little. We had two 850's last year, set up exactly the same - same fuel, same oil, same break-in, same miles, etc. One is just a bit quicker than the other.

Did you have a leak down test on any of those?

The 2018+ are the best for the 800s. Different and better cooling with head and thermostat changes.

I have had a 16,17, and 19 Axys and haven't had a major issue with any of them. 18+ has the most recent updates but I wouldn't be scared of a 16/17 if you find a deal.
