Whats the best big bore kit for an 01 800 summit ?

the question is why ? your better off selling it and buying a 06 with low milage, I've done all the things you can do to one and a well set up stock o6 will out perform it hands down , and the stand up riding is way better on your body, Save your money !!!

I would say RKT 827 or Big John's 840... but then again, I wouldn't necesarily disagree with summit800... that being said, I have a 2003 (a few differences from the 2001 that I feel are worth the 2 year upgrade). I HATE the REV platform so that pretty much eliminated 2004-2007 for a Doo sled... Overall, the ZX was a solid chassis and some sled builders are still looking for the bulkhead, engine and wiring from the 2003 800 HO Summits to build their mods... plus parts are CHEAP!!!

I have not riden a rev enough to like it and have read a lot of threads where guys like the zx chassis more and again parts are cheap. My buddies and I all have zx 800's and we all have 16' wide tracks and some of the sleds are set up with timbersled suspension front and rear and most other light weight parts but all of our engines are stock other than a 700 that is ported and has a 30hp shot of nos.

If you look on snow and mud .com there is a used unionbay big bore kit for a 800 under the swapmeet part.

dont get me wrong the zx is a great sled , I have 4 2001 zx ,it just cost alot to get them to close to riding in deep pow like my rev
