I just learned about the update. So not done as of 3 Dec. Connecting with BCA to learn more. Happy to help coordinate.

FYI - the software update changes how the unit operated when in Power Saving Mode (begins after the unit has been left on for 12 hrs. if the unit is turned off at the end of the day, then back on in morning - it won't ever get to Power Saving mode - unless forgotten to turn off).

From the BCA site -

"Will my Tracker2 still work without the software update? Yes, your Tracker2 will still operate without the software update as long as you use it in accordance with the best practices listed in the Tracker2 manual and BCA’s transceiver usage guidelines. The Tracker2 should be turned off and on before each use, the Tracker2 batteries should have greater than 40 percent remaining power before using, and users of the Tracker2 should perform a trailhead transceiver test prior to each use".

Both units are at BCA for updates. Should be back right around Christmas. Will update accordingly.
