Ball joint damage?

Does a torn boot and about a 3/16th inch of wiggle warrant a replacement? Or are these joints more durable than I think?

3/16" play is most definitely excessive.
Not only replace it, also look closely at the other ones.

The other side has a little wiggle.

And if I remember correctly, when I just went through my other sled. That one also had a fair amount of movement in the lower right balljoint. Left side was rock solid on that sled.

All of the uppers seem fine.

I doubt that there is a specified tolerance for these in terms of x/xx or .0XX" is too much.
If you can feel play/slop, I'd say that it's time to replace them, or at least it's getting near time to replace them.
