Axys running hot - bad impeller?

Last two rides my Axys has been running 150-160. It has always ran 127.

Could my impeller be going bad?

Snow is deep, face shots plentiful, air temp in the teens..

Coolant is circulating and melting snow on the tunnel.

Really scratching my head on this one.

I remember having a impeller nut come loose on a Iqr 600r motor, is that still a thing?

Update/edit Tunnel gets warm enough to melt snow but is barely Luke warm, I’d guess 80 to 90 degrees and this is when the gauge reads 165 and the motor is HOT.

I don’t think so but I’m going to try to burp it.

When I’ve had air in the system the tunnel would stay cool, mine gets warm

I’m guessing this is my problem. Going to pull the Tstat and try it without.

i would check the thermostat. sounds like its not opening properly. with a bad impellor it should just keep getting hotter.
I think that is the case and only the bypass is allowing the coolant to flow and why it’s running hot but not completely over heating.

What year axys? My 19 had a broke thermostat and would overheat. Sad that Polaris only builds parts to last through the warranty.

Thanks for the follow-up, love it when members come back and report the final fix - Cheers
