With the 850 oil pump under the motor, and somewhat inaccessible, it looks like there are two recommended ways to get to it.

1) Drill the rivets and heat the glue to remove the panel on the underside.
2) Remove the two engine mount bolts and pry the motor up an inch to pull the pump out.

In general, I kind of like method 1, as you don't have to pull the pump and you can access things a bit organically. But, on the downside you do need to do a little destruction.

Those of you that have done turbo installs and such and accessed the oil pump/lines, what do you think? If you removed the underside panel, did you glue it back in or just rivet?

Did mine this weekend, following the Boondocker instructions, taking out back motor mount bolts, lifting up 1”, was super easy.
allowed plenty of access ,time saving for sure.
the most time was prob spent cutting the hole in the tunnel..
my only hold up was I was sent the wrong head for my install, so I couldn’t finish it. I will have the right one tomorrow?
