Avy Death up Skyland 2-25-12

2 snowbikers were involved in a slide today up Skyland resulting in a fatality. So very unfortunate this year. 3 deaths this WEEK alone all in individual incidents. Reports from the riders I've talked to all are the same.... road cuts sliding, some below 30 degree slopes coming down, multiple slides each day. This would be a good week to put the toys inside and wait it out.

My thoughts go out to the families and friends of the deceased. This is an amazingly bad year.

i heard from a buddy it was the younger one, and considering ralph and frank are the only ones with bikes it must have been frank... so freaking terrible man what a year im giving up

I believe I met the older one when he picked up his Kaw Bike at the Thunderstruck premiere last October in Lewistown.

I believe the guys name who was killed is Lou. We couldn't get much else from Ralph when we found him. He was very shook up. My condolences go out to Lou's family. From what I hear of him he sounded like a great guy. Emergency services and the search and rescue were very quick and very professional.
