Arva 9000 beacon question

I have a beacon i bought a few years ago, Arva 9000 all digital. It runs on 457khz. I was out of sledding for a few years, now that im back sledding i just wanted to see if this beacon is still okay? They all run on the same frequency right? I love how easy this one is to use, just making sure something hasent changed and i need a newer model. Thanks in advance for the input

Just look it over-- no corrosion in the battery compartment, no obvious flaws, then fire it up and test it for both transmitting and receiving.

I would make the test a little real-- buried a couple of feet deep in snow, and start the test at a good distance -- 75 yards and walk to the buried one. Run the test both ways once with yours buried, once with the test beacon buried.
